1. Out of the ordinary odors: This can be related to other issues within your home, but is often due to mold, mildew and more. The important thing is if anything smells off, get it inspected as soon as possible.
2. Frequently adjusting the thermostat: Because a thermostat is intended to keep your home at a steady temperature, if you and your family are constantly making adjustments, it’s pretty clear that something is wrong with the system.
3. The temperature doesn’t match the thermostat setting: Arguably the most obvious, if you have your thermostat set to 72 degrees and your home’s temperature reads 75, it is definitely time to give us a call and inspect your air condition system.
4. High power bills: Your air conditioning may use more energy because it needs something as small as a tune up, or it could mean that it’s time for a new system altogether. Either way, it should be addressed, especially if the cooling output hasn’t changed at all.

Short cycling or constant running: If your air conditioning system is cutting on and off much more frequently than normal, this might mean you require a different sized system in respect to the size of your home. Constant running of the system could mean that your AC has probably reached the end of its lifespan and needs replacing.
6. Strange noises: This obviously means anything out of the norm for your specific system – clicking, bubbling, banging, knocking, squeaking – and the cause of which is more than likely something that needs to be repaired. The causes range from obstructions, electrical issues, worn or misaligned belts, leaks, and much more.
