Want an easy way to test your sump pump before disaster strikes? Try pouring a few buckets of water into the sump pump pit. The pump should kick on within a matter of seconds. If it doesn’t, your sump pump may be defective – and it may be time to call in the pros.

As we enter the warmer days of spring, check the waterlines that lead to your outdoor spigots for any freezing damage.
